Visiting this website
This website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. To deliver a page, the server has to process your IP address and the technical details your browser sends (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not keep access logs. The website sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics or tracking. Fonts are served from our own server.
To know how many people visit, we count page views on our own server, without cookies or browser storage. For each page view we store the date, the page, the referring website (domain only) and a campaign tag if the link had one. To count a visitor once per day, the server combines your IP address and browser details with a random value that is replaced every day and stores only the resulting code; your IP address is not stored. Once the random value is replaced, the code can no longer be traced back to you. This is based on our legitimate interest in knowing how many people visit (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Buying the book
The buy buttons take you to Lemon Squeezy, which sells Rewired as merchant of record and handles payment, tax, invoicing and delivery of the download. Lemon Squeezy processes the data you enter there (such as name, email, billing address and payment details) under its own privacy policy: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. Lemon Squeezy is based in the USA; data may be transferred there on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses. We receive the order details we need to support your purchase, such as your name, email address, country and the product (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The free test
Your answers are scored in your browser. While you take the test, your progress is kept in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off; it never leaves your device. If you enter your email address to unlock your profile, we send the address and your result type to MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Vilnius, Lithuania), which stores them for us as our processor and sends the profile emails. This is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Every email has an unsubscribe link. We keep your address until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
The free sample
If you ask for the free sample chapters, we send your email address to MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Vilnius, Lithuania), which stores it for us as our processor, asks you to confirm it and then sends you the sample and a few emails about the book. This is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Every email has an unsubscribe link. We keep your address until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
The paid assessment
To unlock the assessment, your access code is checked with Lemon Squeezy. When you finish, your answers and result are stored anonymously, without your code, email address or IP address, so we can improve the questions and types.
Contacting us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed. Our mailbox is hosted by Proton AG in Switzerland.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
