Pressure pattern

Revenge trading starts before the next trade.

The next order is only the visible part. The sequence usually begins when a loss creates an urgent need to feel back in control.

A loss changes more than the account balance. It can change the purpose of the next decision. Instead of evaluating a setup, the trader starts evaluating whether the next action can erase discomfort.

The hidden switch

The plan asks: is this setup valid? Revenge asks: can this make the last loss feel less final? Those questions can produce the same click for completely different reasons.

Interrupt the sequence

A useful counter-rule must be observable. After a stop, close the execution window for a fixed review interval. Write the reason for the next trade in one sentence. If that sentence refers to recovery, frustration or urgency, the decision is not ready.

Build the rule, not the promise.
